Department of Medical Imaging and Radiological Sciences

The department emphasizes the integration of theoretical and practical applications. Encouraging staff to promote cooperation between basic research centers and hospitals. This purpose is to establish partnerships with all major teaching hospitals as one of our major goals as we strive to construct positive support structures for teaching and research collaboration. It is widely acknowledged that such collaboration is beneficial for both hospitals. The hospital offers equipment and fund whilst the department provides research experience and the direction of research.

Further effort is needed in:

1. Cooperating with medical centers/companies for research collaboration to develop new products and techniques for clinical applications.
2. Cooperating with medical centers/companies for the usage of high technology equipment like AI, MRI, PET, Spiral CT, linear acceleration...etc.
3. Arranging the medical physics graduate student's practicum classes in the related field at medical centers/companies for last-mile training.
